Description

The bridge over the Tavistock Canal, located about 50 metres northeast of the north portal to the Tavistock Canal tunnel, was constructed between 1803 and 1817 by John Taylor. It is built of slatestone rubble and spans approximately 8 metres in length and 3 metres in width. The bridge features parapet walls that are about one metre high, topped with rubble coping. It has a wide round arch that includes a keystone.
