Description
Little Sitcott is a small house dating to around the late 18th or early 19th century, with a 19th-century addition at the right-hand end. The main part of the house has whitewashed rendered walls on stone rubble footings, and a thatched roof with gabled ends and end chimneys. The 19th-century addition has a slate roof. The house likely originally had a two-room plan, probably including a central stair hall. Later lean-to rooms were added to the rear for service areas, and a single-room extension to the right-hand end. The front of the house is roughly symmetrical with three windows plus one, featuring a 20th-century gabled porch with a thatched roof and a late 18th or early 19th-century six-panel front door. A small casement window sits above the porch, while the other windows are 20th-century casements; the ground-floor windows are metal-framed, and the windows in the addition are also casements. The interior has not been inspected, but may be of interest.
