Description

This is a boundary stone located on Fordmill Bridge, dating from the early 19th century. It is a monolithic slate slab approximately 500 centimeters high and 250 centimeters wide, set into the parapet of the bridge. The stone features vertical inscriptions in deep cut lettering, although the lower section is positioned below road level, making part of the parish name no longer visible. The letters 'dworthy/Woolfardisw' can be seen, which should be interpreted as Bradworthy and Woolfardisworthy.
