Description
No. 3 Honestone Street is a house from the early to mid 19th century, featuring solid rendered walls and a slate roof. It has a rendered chimney located on the left side wall, in line with the front slope of the roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a three-window range. The central doorway is flanked by raised quoins, and the middle upper-storey windows are blind. The doorway features a plain architrave and a flat hood supported by shaped brackets, with a half-glazed door that has a solid moulded panel at the bottom.
To the right of the ground and second storeys is a canted bay window with a flat roof, which is finished with a moulded cornice. The other windows, including the blind ones, have flat architraves with jambs shaped to resemble masonry quoins, and the lintels in the ground and second storeys have slightly pointed tops. Most windows are 8-paned sashes, with 4-paned side-sashes in the bays and 4 over 8-paned upper sashes in the third storey. The ground storey of the bay window was altered in the late 19th century to contain plain sashes, with the middle light featuring margin-panes. Additionally, there are two small windows with 2-paned wood casements at the top of the left side wall. The interior has not been inspected.
