Description
This is a group of three headstones located approximately 5 metres north of the Church of St James in Abbots Bickington. They commemorate John, Elizabeth, and Samuel Avery, who died in 1744, 1746, and 1749. The headstones are made of slate and each features an inscribed arch, with the central headstone being more ornate than the others. Only the central and left-hand headstones have footstones, which are designed similarly and include epitaphs.
