Description
Old Sexton's Cottage and the adjoining outbuildings date from 1735 and are located on the west side of High Street. The cottage is likely from the early 19th century and features two storeys with a roughcast exterior. It has two windows on the upper floor, which include gabled half-dormers with pointed wood casements. The ground floor also has two similar "Gothic" casements and a central pointed doorway.
To the west, there is an ancillary building from the early 18th century, which is two storeys high with cob walls. It has a plank door with a heavy frame and only one window remains on the first floor, which is a casement with an exposed frame and glazing bars. Further west, there is another two-storey structure with one window on each floor. This building features a warehouse door on the first floor, situated above double garage doors, and is from the late 19th century.
All the listed buildings on High Street are part of a group value context.
