Description

Homewell Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rendered cob on a stone rubble plinth and features a wheatstraw thatched roof that is half-hipped to the right. The cottage has a rendered stone end stack with a red-brick top stage. Its layout consists of a two-room central-entrance plan, positioned at right angles to the road and facing south. The exterior is symmetrical, with two 19th-century two-light wooden casements in old openings. There is a central entrance that includes a 19th-century plank door and a late 20th-century porch. The interior has not been inspected.
