Description
Druxton Bridge is a road bridge over the River Tamar, dating from the 16th century, with the western arch and parapets rebuilt in the 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with large ashlar blocks of local stone and granite coping. The bridge features four round arches, with spans of 3.75 metres and 3 metres, supported by dressed granite voussoirs and stone rubble and ashlar stone cutwaters positioned between the arches. The western arch and parapets were rebuilt in the 19th century by Henderson, and the cutwaters no longer extend to form refuges.
