Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 18th century. It features rendered cob and rubble walls and a gable-ended thatch roof. There is a projecting rendered rubble stack at the right gable end with a brick shaft. The building has a two-room plan, with the right-hand room heated by the gable-end stack and a central entrance.

The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with three windows, which are 20th-century two and three-light casements. At the centre, there is a large 20th-century porch/conservatory with a blockwood door located at the right-hand end. Inside, the right-hand room includes an open fireplace with a roughly chamfered wooden lintel.
