Description

Porthill is a notable 18th-century square stucco house located on Heywood Road in Northam. It is two stories high and features a principal front with five windows. The eaves cornice is adorned with dentils and brackets. A central three-bay Doric porch enhances the façade, showcasing disc ornaments on the frieze and tympanum, along with later glazing. The residence was formerly owned by Augustus Millet, who may have been the builder. The house is distinguished by its dignified appearance and interesting interior features.
