Description

The K6 telephone kiosk, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1935, is located outside Bovey Tracey Town Hall. Made of cast iron, this standardised design is painted red overall and features long horizontal glazing in the door and sides. The crowns on the top panels are applied rather than perforated. There are rectangular white display signs reading "TELEPHONE" beneath the shallow-curved roof. The kiosk has modernised internal equipment and is in good condition, with clear display signs above the door and intact glass windows.
