Description

Millcross Bridge, located about 10 metres south of the A383, is a bridge that crosses the River Lemon into Ilsington parish. It was built in the early to mid 19th century and is constructed from granite ashlar with vertical tooling. The bridge features a single round arch with a raised band below the parapet, which sweeps outwards at each end to form an oblong-section pier topped with a low pyramidal shape. It is important to note that this bridge should be distinguished from another bridge carrying the A383, which is located about 20 metres to the north-west and is not listed.
