Description
The walls and gate piers at the north entrance to Trinity School's Preparatory Department in Teignmouth were built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from rough Plymouth stone ashlar. The central piers stand approximately 4 meters high and feature moulded gables on either side of the capitals, along with recessed semicircular panels on the shafts. On either side of the center, there are large boarded-up flat-arched pedestrian entrances. The coped walls curve downwards in a convex shape for about 6 meters, meeting similar terminal piers that are approximately 3 meters high.
