SX9374 NEW ROAD 25-1/2/166 (South side) Walls and gate piers to the north of Trinity School, Preparatory Department

GV II

Walls and gate piers at north entrance to Trinity School (qv). Mid C19. Rough Plymouth stone ashlar. Central piers approx 4m high have moulded gables to each side of the capitals and recessed semicircular panels to the shafts. Large boarded-up flat-arched pedestrian entrances flank the centre, the coped walls sweep down in a convex curve for approx 6m to meet similar terminal piers approx 3m high.
