Description

Finlake Lodge is a mid-19th century lodge situated approximately 250 metres southeast of Stokelake House. Constructed of yellow brick with banded rustication in the ground storey, the lodge features a slated roof with bracketed overhanging eaves. The gables have a deep projection with pendants. A decorative Italianate chimney stack is centrally positioned on the ridge. The building is two storeys high with a single-storey wing extending to the right. The front facing the road has a single window; to the right is a gabled wooden entrance porch. The windows are segmental-headed and contain small-paned sashes. A canted bay window of rusticated brick is incorporated into the left-hand wall, facing the road.
