Description

The gate piers at the entrance to Southbrook were built in 1882, around the same time as the house. They are made of red brick and grey limestone, topped with capping of Bath stone or Beer stone. The design is Gothic, featuring piers with finials that are gabled on all four sides. There is also a brass name plate with Art Nouveau lettering. These gate piers have group value with Southbrook and Southbrook Lodge.
