Description

The gate piers located 320 metres south-west of Great Ambrook in the parish of Ipplepen are likely rebuilt structures, although their capping and finials date back to the 17th century. The piers are constructed from rubble and feature granite capping that is chamfered on the underside and rebated to accommodate a ball finial on a shaped neck.
