Description

The barn at Lillybrook is a Grade II listed structure, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed rendered cob and brick, topped with a corrugated iron roof that is half-hipped at the right end and hipped at the left end. The front of the barn is mostly weatherboarded and features a plank door on the right side. This weatherboarding indicates that the barn may have originally been an open-fronted linhay. The rear elevation, which faces Six Mile Hill, includes a central buttress and has no windows. Inside, the barn has pegged roof trusses, which are also likely from the 18th century.
