Description

The lychgate, located approximately 30 meters east of the Church of St Andrew in Ipplepen, is likely to contain some fabric from the 17th century but has been significantly remodeled in the 19th century. It features limestone rubble side walls that are gabled, supporting a gable-ended slate roof adorned with decorative ridge tiles and coping stones that culminate in a raised gablet triangle at the kneeler. The top of the flanking walls is corbelled just below the kneelers.
