Description

The lychgate located to the south-southeast of the Church of St Andrew dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local slate stone rubble and features a clay plain tile roof with pierced ridge tiles. The gables are slate hung and have shaped bargeboards. The structure is square in plan, with an open way through and stone side walls that support a cross-gabled roof. Inside, there is a pair of early 19th-century gates, each consisting of two fielded bottom panels with iron bars above. The roof may have been replaced or remodeled in the late 19th century.
