Description

The Churchyard Cross in Shillingford St. George is a Grade II listed structure. The base and lower section of the shaft are medieval, while the upper part of the shaft and the crosspiece are likely from the 20th century. It is made of granite. The large socket stone is square at the bottom and octagonal at the top, featuring chamfered corners with cushion stops. The shaft tapers and is also chamfered, as is the crosspiece.
