Description
Pitt Lodge, located about 170 metres north-east of Pitt House, is a lodge built in the late 19th century. It is constructed from stone rubble with granite dressings and features steeply pitched slated roofs adorned with black-glazed roll-topped ridge tiles and deep boarded gable verges that have small pendants. The lodge has tall paired granite ashlar chimney stacks set on a block base, topped with a simple cornice. The building has an L-shaped plan and is a single storey. The gable front facing the road includes a canted bay window made of wood, featuring mullions and glazing bars, and topped with a slated pent roof. On the right-hand gable front, there is a tall three-light mullioned window, with four panes per light. Each gable also has a rectangular granite framed panel.
