Description

The barn at Lower Rixdale Farm, located about 20 metres east of Lower Rixdale, dates from the 18th century or earlier. It has a stone base with cob above. The roof is currently covered in corrugated iron sheeting, and the roof timbers have been renewed. Inside, there are six pairs of jointed cruck trusses and a cross-shaped iron tie. This barn is included in the listing for its group value.
