Description

The buttressed causeway carrying the old A38 is located about 300 metres south-west of Bow Bridge. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed from slatestone and Devonian marble rubble. The causeway is long and features sloping buttresses on each side, along with a parapet that has triangular-section coping.
