Description
This listing describes a roll chest tomb located about 8 metres north-east of the porch of the Church of St Andrew, along with a Holworthy headstone situated 1 metre south of the church. The chest tomb dates from the early 19th century and is made of brick with a stone lid. It features a moulded brick plinth, and the inscription on the lid commemorates Mary Roll, who died in 1807. The headstone, dating from the 18th century, is made of limestone and has a shouldered design with a segmental head and scrolled corners. Its inscription commemorates James Holworthy, who died in 1767.
