HOLCOMBE ROGUS HOLCOMBE ROGUS Talbot chest tomb approximately 2 metres south of chancel of Church of All Saints

Chest tomb. Dated 1836 in memory of Hugh Talbot. Grey-coloured limestone ashlar. From a wide chamfered plinth the sides splay outwards as they rise to a hollow- chamfered cornice under a lid with low-pitch ridge along the top. The chest sides have beaded corners. The lid is inscribed in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering and records the death of Hugh Talbot in 1836 and his son John in 1837.
