Description

No. 4 Bank Street is a house with a shop, built around 1840. It features painted stucco and a slate roof, which has a 20th-century dormer that breaks into the parapet wall. The building has three storeys with an attic and a single-window range. The panelled parapet has a moulded cornice that slightly steps forward over the windows on the upper floors. On the second floor, there is a tripartite 6/6-pane sash window with painted stone mullions. The first floor has a 20th-century window flanked by pilasters with moulded capitals that support an entablature; the cornice of this entablature serves as a sill for the window above. The shop front is also from the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
