Description

Ferry Cottage is an early to mid-19th century cottage situated on the creekside of the River Dart. Built of stone rubble, it has a thatched roof with gabled ends and eyebrow eaves. The cottage is one storey high with an attic. It has a three-window range, featuring two-light casement windows with glazing bars. First-floor windows are set into the eaves and have triangular heads within the thatch, incorporating diamond and triangular lights. A gabled thatched porch is centrally located. Stone chimney stacks are present at the gable ends, featuring set-offs and octagonal flues with moulded caps. The cottage is in a picturesque style.
