Description
Higher Longcombe is a farmhouse dating from the 16th or 17th century, with a 20th-century wing added. The building is constructed of rendered stone rubble and features a slate roof with gabled ends. It has two storeys and a five-window range, with 19th-century two and three-light casements that include glazing bars. There is a wide doorway to the left of the centre, which has a 19th-century panelled door and a rendered stone porch topped with a slate roof. To the right of the porch, there is a large rendered chimney stack that projects from the front wall and has a set-off. Another large rendered chimney stack is located at the south gable end. The 20th-century stone rubble wing is situated to the right (north-east) at a right angle to the main building, featuring a steeply pitched slate roof and dormers.
