Description
The lychgate located south-east of the Church of St Mary is a structure dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, which incorporates an early 17th-century doorframe. It features stone rubble side walls that support a gable-ended slate roof from the 20th century. Inside, there is an early 17th-century moulded wooden doorframe with bolection moulded jambs and carved baluster stops that have incised scrolls. The doorframe is notably wide, and the matching lintel may be from a later period.
