Description
A group of five tomb chests is located in the churchyard immediately east and southeast of the chancel of St Mary's Church. These tomb chests date from the 18th century and early 19th century. They are made of ashlar stone, with three being undecorated. One tomb chest features baluster corners, while another, dated 1818 and 1820, commemorates Phillis and Julia King and has gothic pilastered corners. The inscriptions on the tomb chests, apart from the one for Phillis and Julia King, are illegible.
