Description

No. 26 Fore Street is an 18th-century building that has been altered and stands three stories tall. The upper floors are hung with slates and feature sash windows, which now only have central glazing bars. The building has a coved eaves cornice and a hipped slate roof on the left side. The shop front, dating from the 18th or early 19th century, includes a slender entablature topped with a carved wooden panel that has a scrolled shape. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 4 to 32 (even) and the Roman Catholic Church.
