Description
This building is a linhay, dating from the late 18th century, located about 15 metres northeast of Foales Leigh. It is constructed from slate rubble and features a hipped corrugated iron roof. The structure has a rectangular shape, with the right-hand end originally open fronted and supported by a central stone rubble pier. The ground storey is partly blocked with stone rubble and includes a small plank door. The first floor on the left front is clad in corrugated iron. There is a narrow opening in the central hall with a plank door leading to the ground storey, which is weatherboarded. To the left of centre, there are openings with plank doors leading to the ground storey and a loft above, which is weatherboarded to the right. A ground storey doorway on the left has a plank door, and there are steps leading to the loft door at the higher left-hand (west) end. The interior has not been inspected. The linhay is situated on the north side of the farmyard at Foales Leigh.
