Description
The Manor House is a house dating from the early 19th century, with a core possibly from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed of rendered rubble, with a slate roof featuring gabled hipped ends. The house has two storeys and a four-window front. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor features French windows, also with glazing bars and margin panes. A recessed bay, located to the left of the centre, incorporates a first-floor balcony with an iron balustrade and a French window. A later glazed porch now fronts the entrance. A rendered chimney stack is situated in front of the ridge to the right, and there is a truncated end stack on the right-hand side. Inside, an early 19th-century staircase is present. On the rear wall, now within an outshut, are two 18th-century two-light windows with leaded panes. A rear wing extends to form an L-shaped plan. The building demonstrates clear group value as an important local feature.
