Description
The garden boundary walls and piers to the west of Hazlewood House were built around 1850 and are made of rubble. The boundary wall, which has a plain coping and stands approximately 1.75 meters high, rises from the north-west corner of the house. It features two large octagonal piers at the doorway. The wall continues south, aligning with the driveway and includes decorative rubble piers, with a pair leading to a small gate. There is a large gap in the walling near the return end at the north, and four piers remain in the southern section. These structures are part of the picturesque design used throughout the estate in the mid-19th century and are significant to the setting of the main house.
