Description

Moult Summerhouse, located to the southwest of Moult, was begun in 1764 and had additions made in 1785 and later. The building is encased in a Tudor style and was extended in the early 19th century. It is noted that J. A. Froude is said to have written his History here. The summerhouse features five gables on the southeast side, which faces the sea, and has large boards. The structure is made of stucco and is linked by a charming 14-foot high stone wall to a 18th-century summerhouse that includes wood trellis and a thatched roof.
