Description
This is a dovecote located approximately 100 metres northwest of Pridhamsleigh Manor, dating from around the 16th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and has a circular shape topped with a conical roof made of scantle slate, which features a small stone lantern also covered with a conical slate roof. On the south side, there is a small pointed arch doorway with a chamfered two-centred design, framed in stone, leading to a 20th-century plank door. Inside, the dovecote is lined with nesting holes that have slate ledges, and the roof is supported by corbelled stone. This structure is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
