Description

This is a farmhouse, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, with substantial rebuilding in 1844, as indicated by a dated lintel. The house is constructed of stone rubble with granite quoins, and the southwest end is slate hung. It has a slate roof with gabled ends and a cellar. The two-storey structure comprises three bays, featuring 20th-century top-opening lights set within 19th-century window openings, each with granite lintels. A central doorway has a 20th-century hood. Stone chimney stacks are located at both gable ends.

At the rear, a chamfered granite four-centred arched doorway with pyramid stopped jambs is set within a chamfered recess, and is fitted with a nail-studded door. A three-light granite hollow-chamfered mullion window is also present on the ground floor.

Inside, a large, moulded granite chimneypiece with a straight head is notable, with the kitchen fireplace likely containing reused granite. A late 17th or early 18th-century staircase features a moulded string, twisted balusters, a moulded handrail, and square newels.
