Description
The Smoking Chamber, located immediately west of Crabadon Court, is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed from slate rubble and features a corbelled slate roof. The chamber has a very shallow rectangular shape built into the rock bank behind it. It consists of a simple cell chamber that rises to a flue at the top. There is a small doorway at the front with a slate lintel and a 20th-century plank door. Inside, the walls are corbelled in and rise to a square-section flue, with slate shelves along the walls.
