Description

Fernham is a detached house dating to around the 17th century, with alterations in the early 19th century to the front and an 18th-century rear wing. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble, with an asbestos slate roof of a steep pitch and a gable end facing the road. A rear wing features a half-hipped roof covered in scantle slates and partly slate hanging. The house is arranged in an L-shape, with a lean-to outshut filling the angle. It has two storeys and a three-window front. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. A central doorway has a plain design with a glazed door. A rendered chimney stack is visible at the gable end facing the road, and another rendered stack rises from the ridge of the rear wing and the rear wall of the main range.
