Description

The barn and adjoining shippen, located immediately east of Strode Farm House, date from the 18th century. They are constructed of rendered stone rubble and cob, topped with a slurried scantle slate roof that features gabled ends. The shippen has a half-hipped roof and is positioned at right angles to the barn. The barn includes a loft door with a slated canopy above it, while the shippen features gabled loft doors. This structure is included for its group value.
