Description
The Priory Gateway and the flanking walls, located east of Priory Cottages, are likely from the 18th century. They are constructed from local limestone and other stone rubble. The gateway features a roughly dressed rubble cambered arch supported on imposts, with a recessed rectangular panel in the parapet above. The square piers have chamfered weathering at the plinths. The flanking lower walls are topped with plain coping. This gateway and the walls were once part of the garden of Priory House, before the land was divided.
