Description

The Elbow Room Restaurant occupies a building dating from the early 19th century, originally used as a cottage house and warehouse, now combined into a single property. The building is two storeys high with dormers. The front elevation has a 1:2:2 window arrangement. It has a Welsh slate roof and a hipped roof on the warehouse section, with red brick stacks. The front facade is rendered, featuring recessed sash windows with glazing bars. The warehouse section includes a modern, segmental, bowed Regency-style window on the ground floor. Recessed doorways are present, with panelled doors. A former warehouse entrance has been blocked. The building holds group value as an example of early 19th century commercial and domestic architecture.
