Description
This is a shippon and stable range located approximately 10 metres north of Hammonds Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid 19th century. The structure is built from whitewashed stone rubble and features corrugated roofs with gable ends. It has an L-shaped layout, with the shippon on the left side, which includes a loft above, and a lofted stable on the right side that has a slightly higher roof.
The shippon has two plank doors, a window opening to the right, and a ventilation slit to the left, along with a loft door above. There is a row of pigeon holes above the window on the right. The returned end features a loft door above a plank door, with stables that have a symmetrical arrangement of a loft door above a plank door, flanked by window openings extending to the right. The interior retains its fittings, including stalls and feeding racks, which are intact.
