Description
The courtyard range of outbuildings, located approximately 3 metres north of the Old Rectory, dates from the early 19th century. It includes stables, a tack-room, a cart and gig shed, a timber shed, a wash-house, and store sheds. The buildings are constructed from rendered stone rubble and cob, topped with hipped slate roofs.
The layout features lofted stables, a tack-room, and cart and gig sheds on the west side, with a lean-to waggon shed on the north side. The east side has a courtyard wall and the main carriage entrance, while the south side contains a single-storey timber shed, wash-house, and store sheds. The lofted stables have three loft doors, a large window at the left end, a two-light window at the right end, large double plank doors between the two right-hand loft doors, and a plank door to the left of the two-light transomed window between the two left-hand loft doors. The east side features a straight-headed carriage entrance, and there is a semi-circular arched entrance on the south side.
