Description

The Rock is a small house, likely built in the 1820s. It has mass wall construction and is rendered, topped with an asbestos-slate roof that is gabled at both ends. There is a roughcast chimney stack on the right end. The house is two rooms wide with a single-depth plan and features an entrance to the left of the center. It stands two storeys tall and has an asymmetrical two-window arrangement. The front door is recessed and panelled, with the upper panels being glazed. To the left of the front door is a small casement window, while the other windows are three-light timber casements, each with six panes per light, including a horizontal sliding sash window on the first floor to the right. The interior has not been inspected but may have interesting features.
