Description
This is a group of three encased headstones from the early 19th century, located in the east wall of a pathway approximately 10 metres south of the south-east corner of the south porch of the Church of St Peter in Berrynarbor. The headstones are made of slate with brick sides and slate capping, set into the stone retaining wall on the east side of the pathway.
The left headstone commemorates Nathaniel Perrin, who died in 1812, and features an urn at the top flanked by a tulip motif. The central and right headstones belong to the Bowden family, with the right headstone displaying incised fluted pilasters and a round-headed arch.
