Description
This is an 18th-century long shippon located approximately 10 metres west of West Saunton Farmhouse. It is constructed from whitewashed rendered cob and features a slate roof. The building has four plank doors with timber lintels. There are window openings on each side of the door at the lower end, as well as slit openings and a window opening between the two central doors. The shippon was originally floored over with a loft door towards the lower end, but all internal partitions have been removed, and the roof trusses were replaced in the 20th century.
