Description
Numbers 114 and 115, known as Northam House, are located on East Street in South Molton. Number 115 dates partly from the 17th century but is mainly from the 18th century. The building has two storeys and is rendered, topped with a slate roof that features an axial brick chimney. It has a moulded eaves cornice and includes a total of seven windows, which comprise three tripartite windows. There is a central bay with three lights that runs through all floors, along with two round-headed windows, one of which retains "Gothic" glazing. The building also features two simple dormers with rectangular fanlights. Additionally, Number 115 is adorned with pilasters and an entablature. Inside, the central timber-framed section showcases a 17th-century moulded and chamfered spine beam.
