Description

This cottage, located approximately 10 metres east of The Firs in Kings Nympton, is likely from the late 18th century. It features painted rough-cast rendered stone rubble and cob, with a bitumenized slate roof that is hipped at the right end and has a rendered stack at the left end. The cottage has a small single room plan with an entrance passage at the right end and a 20th-century lean-to at the right end. It may have originally extended further at the left end. The exterior is two storeys high, with single three-light casements, each with three panes per light, on both floors. There is an early 20th-century porch with a gabled slate roof. The interior has been significantly altered in the 20th century.
