Description

This is a pair of gravestones from 1782, located approximately 5 metres south of the centre of the south end of the south transept. Made of slate, the headstone features a straight top and commemorates Mary, the wife of Humphrey Davis, who died in 1782, with the inscription 'by John Merchant Her Son'. The footstone bears the inscription: 'Weep not for me my Children dear Nor griev to see my fall for soon cut down by death I wase and taken from you'.
